Shocking moment South African police 'executed' an armed robber as he lay wounded on the ground

Four police officers have been charged with murder after video footage emerged showing a robbery suspect being fatally shot dead while he was lying wounded on the ground in South Africa. The shocking CCTV footage appears to show the suspect being shot at close range and also kicked as he lies on a pavement last month in Krugersdorp, west of Johannesburg. The dead man, identified as Khulekani Mpanza, had allegedly used a pistol to fire eight times at police, according to South African media.
The video, Mr Mpanza appears to drop a pistol as he falls to the ground after being shot the first time while running away from the police.

A new born baby was found early this morning inside a polythene bag in a bush in the Tanke area of Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. The baby was rescued by some residents of the area who bathed the baby and handed it over to a motherless babies home. See more photos after the cut..

Man, 40 arraigned for defiling 10-year-old

40-year-old carpenter, Adewunmi Adedoyin has been arraigned before an Owode-Egba Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl in Magboro, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.The suspect who was arraigned before Magistrate I.O Abudu was accused of committing the offence which contravenes Section 218 of the Criminal Code vol 1 Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria 2006 and punishable under the same law.
The suspect who is a resident of 58 Miracle Avenue, Magboro Ibafo allegedly committed the offence on October 18, 2015 when he was apprehended by neighbours who heard the cry of the victim. this is very sad , continue to read .

11 drown off Greek island of Samos, including four babies

This is so sad , everyday refugees drown in the sea . Eleven women and children have drowned in the the Aegean sea after a boat carrying refugees from Turkey to Greece sank on Sunday morning.
Heavy seas and strong winds overturned the plastic boat just 20 metres from the Greek island of Samos, killing five women, four babies and two children.
Ten were found in the cabin, and the other - a young girl - washed up onto the island’s rocky shore.

NFF says they will not sack Samson Siasia

Despite intense media speculation that national U-23 team coach, Samson Siasia would be sacked soon, a member of the Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh has informed that the football house has no intention of sacking the Olympic silver medal-winning coach.

Speaking exclusively to Sports Vanguard yesterday, Yusuf said:

“There has never been a time we in the technical committee or at the executive committee level discussed any such thing. I am a member of both committees and never has that come up for discussion.”

Buhari ‘ll not require ministers to publicly declare assets

The new ministers to be inaugurated soon may not be compelled to publicly declare their assets as President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo did, presidency sources have disclosed.
Many of the ministers-designate were at the weekend wary of the issue as a number of them were miffed when they were asked on the issue.
The minister-designate from Nasarawa, Ibrahim Jibrin, who was the only one that was forthcoming on it, however, pledged to abide by whatever instruction was handed out by the presidency on the issue.
