Heroin Intercepted at Kano Int;l Airport worth N200M

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted 10.6kg of high grade pure crack heroin with the street value over N200 million at the Aminu kano International Airport,Kano

The command said the interception was achieved in the course of its inward examination and clearance of luggage.

Lawyer Narrates How he was Almost killed by policeman In Lagos

A lawyer has described in details how he was almost killed by a policeman in Lagos.

Narrating his ordeal to newsmen in Lagos, Barrister Elemihe said he was driving by the Onipanu Police Station when he was stopped by one Corporal Alonge, who accused him of using a fake tinted glass permit.

Elemihe said: “On my way from Lekki where I went to check a property with my client, I decided to use the Onipanu Police Station Road, by Apata.

“Immediately I drove into the street close to the station, one Corporal Alonge stopped me, demanded for my vehicle particulars. I gave them to him, then he demanded for my driver’s licence, which I also gave him.

Fulani herdsmen invade Falae’s farm again, kill OPC security guard


No fewer than ten Fulani herdsmen have again invaded the farm of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, Chief Olu Falae killing one of his Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, security guard.
It would be recalled that five fulani herdsmen are currently standing trial at the state high court over the kidnap o‎f chief Falae in October last year.
Chief Falae was rescued by a special team of security operatives put in place by the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase on the order of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Unamed Nigerian man linked to ISIS detained by German police

A 29-year unnamed Nigerian, alongside an Iraqi, aged 46, were on Thursday detained by the German police on suspicion of having links with Islamic State, ISIS and of planning ‘a serious act of violence,’ Reuters reports.
This was made known by a German police prosecutor, Thomas Steinkraus-Koch in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, security sources have provided information that both suspects could have been in contact with members of ISIS.

Wife slits husband’s throat, kills him over unresolved quarrel

A house wife, Bassey Grace, has been arraigned before an Ebute Metta Magistrate’s court sitting in Lagos for allegedly killing her husband, Lucky Bassey, after an unresolved misunderstanding.
The incident happened at 23 Abari Street in Iyana Ipaja area of the state where the couple, from Akwa Ibom State reside.
According to P.M. News, detectives at the State Criminal Investigation department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, apprehended Grace and one Benjamin Otu, her accomplice.
Grace was said to have used a kitchen knife to slit the throat of her 49-year-old husband while he was asleep.

No fuel, no vehicle – UNILAG students trek home (Photos)

Two Dead in Shooting at Joint Base San Antonio in Texas

A shooting at a US Air Force base in Texas has left at least two people dead, police say.
Bexar County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland around 09:00 local time, a spokesman said.
The base is the home of the US Air Force's basic training programme.

Paris attacks: Key suspect Abrini 'arrested'

The key remaining suspect in November's Paris terror attacks, Mohamed Abrini, has been arrested, Belgian media say.
Sources cited in Belgian media say Abrini is also likely to be the "man in the hat" seen on CCTV before the blasts in the Brussels airport departure hall on 22 March.
Prosecutors confirmed that several arrests had been made in connection with the Brussels attacks.
The attacks on the airport and a metro station left 32 dead.
